IMPERIAL RUSSIAN MEDAL WITH A PAPER DESCRIPTION OF THE AWARD "FOR THE SALVATION OF PERISHING" NIKOLAY I The medal "For the Salvation of the Perished" is a token of distinction, which was established by Nikolay on February 20, 1834. The award can be visually divided into gold and silver medals, the diameter of which is 29 millimeters. A silver medal could be given to representatives of all classes and of any age when they saved one person who could die. In turn, with the salvation of two or more people, the hero was supposed to be rewarded with a gold insignia.
