IMPERIAL RUSSIAN MEDAL WITH A PAPER DESCRIPTION OF THE AWARD "ALL-RUSSIAN INDUSTRIAL AND ART EXHIBITION NIZHNY NOVGOROD" NIKOLAY II The 16th All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition of 1896 in Nizhny Novgorod is rightly considered to be one of the most significant expositions of the 19th century and the largest in Russia. By its size, the exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod exceeded the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889 and was three times more than the previous Moscow exhibition in 1882. The exhibition worked from May 28 (June 9) to October 1 (13), 1896. Over 20 different industries were represented, among them: mining, manufacturing, metallurgy, agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, engineering, military science, engineering, construction, shipping and public education.
